While all the focus has been on the uncertainty surrounding Carson Wentz’s knee, there’s no questioning his heart.

After his charity softball game raised $850,000 in June, Wentz announced a new endeavor, a food truck that would feed the less fortunate. Friday, Wentz, along with his touchdown-scoring teammate, Zach Ertz, passed out food as part of the truck’s grand opening.

The truck, named Thy Kingdom Crumb, made its debut today at Acme Markets on East Passyunk Avenue, passing out free food for two hours. The mission of the truck, according to thykingdomcrumb.org, is to “demonstrate the love of God and to infuse His hope by feeding people and uplifting communities.”

The truck is scheduled to appear at the Eagles’ opener next week and at home games throughout the year, with more appearances to be determined.

After being a key member of a team that delivered the first Super Bowl win to the city of Philadelphia, Wentz continues to prove that his worth extends far beyond the football field. Should he continue along this trajectory of tremendous athlete and philanthropist, he could some day be the single-most beloved athlete Philadelphia has ever seen. You can watch the VIDEO HERE.
